The objective and purpose of the CSAP:
*To teach individuals how to protect their right and interests in any organization
*To promote interest in the use of parliamentary law among the citizenry of many communities through Parliamentary/Leadership workshops
*To work with high school and college groups to stimulate the study and use of Parliamentary Law
*To offer assistance and study to any individual or group interested in becoming a parliamentarian and thus a member of the California State Association of Parliamentarians,
* To assist become parliamentarian to become convention parliamentarians,bylaws consultants, instructors, and official presiding officers .
*To serve as a chartered state association of the National Association of Parliamentarians.

Q: At a recent monthly meeting of my organization, a member made a motion that Candidate X be endorsed. The chair raised an Objection to the Consideration of the Question, and then immediately took a vote on whether we should consider the motion or not.
Can the chair make this motion and was it proper to go right to a vote?
